We wanted to tell you about two upcoming professional development opportunities that early childhood professionals won't want to miss out on.

Registration is Open for Using the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct

This training is Develop-approved!

Do you ever wonder what your ethical responsibilities are as an early childhood professional? Are you ever torn with how to respond to ethical dilemmas in your program?

This training is for you!

As early childhood professionals, we have ethical responsibilities to:

  • Children,
  • Families,
  • Personnel,
  • Sponsoring agencies and governing bodies, and
  • Community, society, and the field of early childhood education.

What does this mean and what does it look like in daily practice? Become acquainted with the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct including an overview of the Code, opportunities to interact with the Code, and practice using the Code to identify ethical responsibilities and to select ethical responses to dilemmas. Participants will understand how their personal and professional values contribute to their understanding of ethical and moral dilemmas.

Save the Date - Early Childhood Leadership Journey Series Coming Soon!

Back by popular demand – this Develop-approved series is a cohort learning model for early childhood directors, assistant directors and other program leaders who are looking to advance their career.

Two cohorts will be available:

  • Building Skills – designed for those newer to their role, or other emerging program leaders who wish to move into a director or assistant director position.
  • Realizing Potential – designed for experienced leaders who want to take their leadership to the next level by implementing strategies to thrive in their role.

A combination of trainings and communities of practice (facilitated networking groups) will offer new perspectives about what it means to be a leader in an early childhood program.

All hours are Develop-approved and will be interactive and relevant, designed to match your current professional development needs and goals.

"Many directors of early childhood programs are doing amazing things, but so often we find ourselves feeling isolated. As a result of the Leadership Journey Series, directors from programs of different sizes, settings and philosophical backgrounds have been able to come together to voice concerns and work cohesively to not only understand one another, but to share our wisdom and develop stronger individual programs."
