Share |

We are currently accepting applications for individuals to serve on the MnAEYC-MnSACA Board of Directors.

Applications are open until Friday, April 14, 2017.

As a membership association, the MnAEYC-MnSACA Board of Directors helps to govern the organizations and achieve the work guided by our mission. Members from Greater Minnesota, student members, and people who represent diverse languages/cultures are especially encouraged to apply.

MnAEYC-MnSACA board service is a way to contribute to the field, develop your governance expertise, expand your own professional network, and help influence what policy positions to take on critical issues facing the sector.

There are 4 open early childhood positions. Members of MnAEYC and MnSACA will vote for who they want to serve on the MnAEYC-MnSACA Board of Directors. These 4 newly-elected early childhood board members will join the 7 afterschool and 3 early childhood board members that are already serving.

Voting will open on May 1, with an email sent to each member with directions on how to vote. The election will remain open until May 5. Three-year terms for the newly-elected board members will start in June 2017.

  • The board meets once a month to every other month, including a one-day retreat in October.
  • Newly-elected board members are required to attend the Wednesday, May 17 board meeting to observe and meet your fellow board members.
  • A mandatory orientation for newly-elected board members will be Wednesday, June 21 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Location TBD)
  • See a calendar of all 2017 board meetings here.
  • Please read the Board Position Description for more information about expectations.
