MnAEYC-MnSACA supports the leadership and development of early childhood and school-age care professionals. We do this, in part, by offering numerous trainings each year, including an Annual State Conference and a Summer Leadership Institute.
Research shows that 90 percent of brain development occurs between birth and age 5. Well-prepared, well-trained professionals have been shown to be more likely to provide the type of responsive care and education children need to be successful.
We provide you with the training you need to be successful in your programs.
Our trainings are high quality. The professional development trainings developed by MnAEYC-MnSACA staff and our partners are interactive and relevant to your career and to your program. The trainings are designed to match your learning goals. The trainings introduce and reinforce concepts that you can put into practice in your program right away.
Our trainings improve your skills. What is best practice for children and youth changes quickly inthe fields of early care and education and school-age care. MnAEYC-MnSACA trainings are at the leading edge of research and prepare you to give children and youth what they need to be successful in school and life.
Our trainings are affordable. As a member of MnAEYC or MnSACA, you receive discounts to attend our trainings! See below for more information.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
MnAEYC-MnSACA reserves the right to cancel a training. We will cancel for low enrollment, for extreme weather or other emergencies. All attempts will be made to reach the registered participants. Please ensure firstname.lastname@example.org is on your safe sender list.
Trainings cancelled because of low enrollment will be cancelled 3 business days before the event.
When Minneapolis or St. Paul Public Schools are closed all day due to weather, MnAEYC-MnSACA will be closed, and all scheduled meetings and trainings will be cancelled.
A district weather-related closing will always mean that MnAEYC-MnSACA is closed, and all trainings and meetings cancelled, regardless of when the announcement is made. MnAEYC-MnSACA may not always directly notify participants in this case since our offices would be closed. We will continue to recommend that participants listen to / watch the news, and call our offices at 651-646-8689, where the cancellation will be announced. Detailed information on each district's policies can be found here: Minneapolis | St. Paul
We will try to make our decisions as early as possible, and not wait for either of these districts. In some cases, we may decide to cancel a training even when districts remain open. In these cases, a cancellation will occur by noon the day before the training, to give staff enough time to be notified.
Rather than cancel, we will try most often instead to offer additional make-up sessions when a significant number of participants might not be able to attend due to weather-related driving conditions.
In all cases, notifications will be sent to registered participants at the contact information we have; phone calls to groups of fewer than 50, and emails for larger groups, plus notice will be posted on our website and on our main phone number. Please ensure email@example.com is on your safe sender list.
These policies do not apply to our Annual State Conference or private customized trainings.
Registration fees will be fully refunded if MnAEYC-MnSACA cancels a training.
Participant cancellations MUST be received at least 2 full business days in advance to receive a refund. If a cancellation is not received in time and the participant does not attend the training, the participant will be charged the full amount of the training.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel. Include in the subject line: Cancelling Registration [Event Name]
If you arrive 20 minutes late or more to a training, you will not receive a training certificate or a refund.
You must complete all sessions of a training to receive a training certificate.
There will be no transferring of funds, registering for another session, or make-up sessions unless the training is cancelled by MnAEYC-MnSACA.
These policies do not apply to our Annual State Conference.
If you attend a MnAEYC-MnSACA training, a training certificate will be available in your profile on the MnAEYC-MnSACA website within 48 hours. You will receive an email when your certificate is available. Please ensure email@example.com is on your safe sender list. You will need to log into your profile on our website to access the certificate. You can log into our website here.
